Boyden’s 2022 Water Quality Report 

 

Water and Sewer Services

Water and sewer services are provided by the City of Boyden. All water and sewer usage is monitored by water meters. Residential, commercial, and industrial customers are charged according to the usage determined by the meters. The meters are read on approximately the 28th day of each month. The current monthly residential within city limits rates are as follows:

Garbage Service

The City currently contracts with OC Sanitation for Garbage collection and disposal and recycling. Garbage collection day is Thursday in Boyden. Recycling collection day is the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. All recyclable material shall be separated by the property owner. Recycling items include paper products, plastics and cans. Recycling guides are available at the Boyden City Office.

The monthly fee for garbage & recycling collection is $16.50 and is included in your monthly City bill.

 

Monthly Billing

 Your bill will be issued on or before the 13th day of each month and is due by 3:30 pm the last business day of each month. Late payment penalties are 10% of the total amount due.

 
Disconnected Service

Service to any residence or place of business will be disconnected after the customer has been notified that they are delinquent. Delinquent notices will be issued and sent by ordinary first-class mail and shall notify the customer of the date the service will be discontinued. A second Disconnect notice will be sent by certified mail notifying the customer again of the disconnect date. A fee of $50 shall be charged before service is restored to a delinquent customer. A $25 connection fee will be charged to reconnect the service. A $10 handling/service fee shall be charged for any service orders due to non-payment. Payment in full must be paid before the service will be turned back on.

 

Water Deposit 

All rental locations are required to pay a $200 deposit before the water is turned on at the property.
